The PTA Executive Board elections are usually held in April each year, with the exception of this year due to COVID-19. Anyone who is a PTA general member may seek the nomination for any board position they may feel qualified to fill. Nominations for office shall be made by a Nominating Committee, which is elected by the association in February of each year during our general meeting. Nominations were supposed to be announced prior to the election in March. However, due to COVID-19, we had a delay in the process. So in light of these unusual circumstances, theincumbent Executive Board Officers and Committee Chairpersons will run again for another term. (NOTE: All Executive Board positions are OPEN.) So if you are interested in any of the Executive Board positions, please contact the PTA by May 1st so we can include you on the ballot for the meeting on May 20th! (Click to email us here ASAP)
In addition, we sent out a Mail Chimp email to all current members on April 20th with a list of all Current PTA Executive Board officers and Committee Chairs, along with the OPEN positions and a short description of their duties. Should you be interested in any board position, please contact us ASAP of how you wish to be of service to your school. Don't be concerned about the time commitment required. It just takes a few hours a month to help the TLE PTA continue to supply the great assemblies, field trips, and special activities that our children have come to enjoy and count on us to provide!
SLATED EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS
The TLE PTA Executive Board is made up of the slated board positions, the Committee Chairs, the Teacher Representative and the Principal of the school. All are required to be TLE PTA members.
All committee chair positions are not elected but are appointed by the President, ratified by the Executive Board and filled by PTA volunteers. Committee Chairs are also part of the TLE PTA Executive Board and have full voting rights during monthly Executive Board meetings. All committee chairs must be members of TLE PTA.
If you are interested in any of the committee chair positions, please contact us to discuss your interests. Chair positions may be shared and chairpersons may appoint committees to help them fulfill their duties.
